Melanie Lous

Melanie completed her Masters of Osteopathy at the British School of Osteopathy in London. After gaining experience there, she moved to New Zealand at the beginning of 2012, continuing to practice before finding us in 2014! She also works out of a practice in Petone.

Melanie has had experience with a wide range of people and health issues over the years, she enjoys helping patients move away from pain and limitation by restoring their health and getting them back to being their best.

Her particular interest is in cranio-sacral osteopathy, which is a gentle technique used to achieve substantial changes without further stressing the body. Combining this with her vast array of massage and structural osteopathy techniques, Melanie provides a unique combination in treatment, personalised to each patient.

Melanie has loved working with babies and children since she finished her training, so much so that in 2015 she explored observing an Osteopathic children’s specialist, as well as travelling to her home town of Paris to further her knowledge. She came back from the post graduate paediatric course fresh with the latest in-depth osteopathic knowledge of how to treat babies from the ages of 0-1

She is now also offering Home Visit Osteopathy, for anyone too acute, including mothers and babies, to travel into the centre. Please contact our reception or Melanie directly for bookings for this mobile service!

Melanie is a registered with the Osteopathic Council of New Zealand (OCNZ), a member of the Osteopathic Association of NZ and an accredited ACC treatment provider. She is committed to developing her skills by attending regular post graduate training.
